SITUATION
Pop fly hit behind third base. Applies to all combinations of runners.
OBJECTIVES
To have EVERY ball hit in the air fielded by the player with the easiest opportunity to make the play.
ASSIGNMENTS
I got it! I got it! I got it!
should be the only communication on a pop-up.
EVERY base must be covered on all pop-ups.
An outfielder has priority over an infielder.
The first and third baseman have priority over the catcher.
The second baseman has priority over the first baseman.
The shortstop has priority over the second and third basemen.
The pitcher should NEVER field a pop-up hit high enough for an infielder to make a play on.
NO player should call for a pop-up until it is on it's way down.
Make yourself loud and clear when calling for the ball. There is NO excuse for miscommunication on a pop-up.
