Dave has been involved with the
best of baseball for over 30 years.
Dave was a full-scholarship player
at Arizona State University, where
he led the team to two consecutive
College World Series. In 1977, Dave
was voted All-American and All WAC,
after leading the team to the College
World Series championship and leading
the team in Home Runs and RBI's!
Dave went on to the big leagues,
where he became a Major League Player
for the Cleveland Indians and the
Oakland A's from 1979 to 1984. During
this time, Dave became a student
of the game, a "sports scientist"
where he developed a masterful eye
for art of hitting the baseball.
After his professional career as
a player ended, Dave created a name
for himself, and developed a revolutionary
methodology for instructing and
educating players on the art and
science of hitting for success.
With over 20 years as a coach and
hitting instructor for both the
Houston Astros and the Oakland A's
under his belt, Dave stands among
the great minds of the game. Let
Dave share his baseball knowledge
with you!
In 1999, Dave was the Major League
Hitting Instructor for the Oakland
A's, when the A's offense broke
two team records, 893 runs scored
and 773 base on balls, which had
stood for 30 years. Also, in the
same year the Oakland A's had the
following accomplishments:
· First in
the American League in walks
· Second in the American
League in homeruns with 235
· Fourth in the AL in on-base
percentage with .355
· Eight players with 10+
homeruns
· Five players with 20+ homeruns
· Three players with 30+
homeruns
· Three players with over
100 RBI's
"My philosophy
is to develop and motivate the complete,
team player. A complete player is
one who is fundamentally sound,
motivated and disciplined in all
techniques, and has a winning attitude."
